Well, here I am…

starting a new chapter.  Like many moms out there, I have found myself searching for a calling card on life.  In an effort to be my truest self (both as a mom and life-lover) this idea was born.  From day one, I have been enthralled with putting a creative piece of me into everything I touch.  Whether I’m restoring a piece of furniture or throwing a birthday party for my kids, I want each element to be refreshingly unique and special.   I get the ultimate thrill from finding forgotten treasures (destined for a burn pile or landfill) and breathing new life into them.  I get lost within these transformations.  That’s when it dawned on me.  Maybe I could share this passion for salvaged creativity with the world in my efforts to make this planet refreshingly unique and special.  Hence, this site and our studio was born.  Stay tuned as I chronicle my new finds, homespun inspirations, salvaged projects, and treasure collecting.  In a quest for my “Huckle Buckle Beanstalk”, I have decided to step away from my life as a elementary classroom teacher and try my hand as a full-time mom, part-time Huckle Buckle Beanstalker.  I haven’t figured out all of the details yet, but I couldn’t be more excited to start this journey.   Let the treasure hunting begin.
